about me
I am so excited to embark on the year together. Coming to Thurston is a bit of a homecoming for me. I started my teaching career here several years ago as a student teacher in 2nd grade. From there, I student taught at Ann Arbor Preschool and Family Center. My educational background includes a degree from Eastern Michigan University in early childhood education and currently I'm pursuing a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. I've had great joy working with students of all ages including teaching preschool at the University of Michigan. Before returning to Thurston, I taught 1st grade in Romulus, Michigan. I'm eager to start my second year in 2nd grade!
In my free time I am an avid traveler and have spent time in Europe and Asia. I truly believe in immersing yourself in diverse cultures which is one of the many reasons I love Thurston. I also like to garden, read, craft, and spend time with my husband and family.
I could not be more overjoyed to be a part of the Thurston community. I look forward to building a strong partnership this year in 2nd grade.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hahn
